I hope you had a great weekend. Rock Climbing Trip was a great Success! Everyone had fun, multiple climbs, rappels, and a great campfire!
INDOOR MEETING AT DUMC
We are having an in-person Troop meeting Mon 4 Oct at 7:30 PM. Per my announcement at the meeting last week and thanks to the efforts of Mr. Bolte, I am pleased to announce that we will be having an INSIDE meeting tomorrow.
While we are not yet able to meet inside the First Baptist Church, we were able to secure an agreement with Del Ray United Methodist Church to meet in Lunceford Hall (100 Windsor Ave). The hall is in the basement of the church and some of you may remember this as the place where you had the Pinewood Derby.
While we certainly understand that this location is not as convenient for some people, we felt that it was important (due to weather and the loss of sunlight) to get back to inside meetings as soon as possible. As a result, this was a good temporary solution.
For now, will meet at Del Ray United Methodist Church unless an outdoor space is better suited for the meeting activities.
Since we will not have a troop meeting next Monday and due to the Federal Holiday, we focus this meeting on Camporee preparation.

MERIT BADGE TRAINING

Hello, all! Council recently mandated that all merit badge counselors complete merit badge counselor training. The deadline to complete the training is Dec 2022, so there is plenty of time. But, counselors who have not completed the training by the deadline will be disenrolled until they take the course. To find merit badge counselor training: – Go to https://my.scouting.org.
– Look on the lower right hand side of the page for the “BSA Learn Center.
– Click on “Click here to access position specific training”.
– You’ll be taken to the training page. Click on “Catalog” at the top of the page.
– In the search box (has a magnifying glass and “Search for a Course, Learning Plan or Program,” type “Merit Badge Counselor.”
– On the page that comes up, click on “Scouts BSA – Merit Badge Counselor Position Specific Training.”

Blue Cards! Did you know that your Scoutmaster can email you a blue card? Just send me Mr. Ramirez an email (scoutmaster@t131.org)! Note that the SCOUT must request the blue card, not the parent!
