2024-12-15 This Week: BoR, Troop Meeting, Ben Moore Eagle, Activity Plan, One Month Look-ahead

We are on the home stretch for the year!  Last meeting before the winter break and let’s finish strong!

The Board of Reviews are this Monday!  If you have not already done so, please let Mrs. Farmer know that you are ready for your next rank.  Also, please let me know if you need a Scoutmaster conference.  I already have one scout that has requested this!

For any scouts who need a new patrol woggle, then come and see me at the meeting!

The PLC met before the last meeting and decided to change the schedule of the PLC a bit.  PLC’s will happen monthly and be 45 minutes long.  This means we will meet at 6:45 and before our normal meeting at 7:30.

TROOP MEETING

We will have a Troop meeting at 7:30PM this Monday at Immanuel Church on the Hill! 

Following up from last Monday, there are two patrols who have not yet reviewed their new cook sets and placed it in their patrol bins.  So, let’s make some time for that at the meeting.

BEN MOORE- EAGLE         

A big congratulations to Ben Moore, who completed his Eagle Board of Review on Wednesday and is now an Eagle Scout.  Please be sure to congratulate him on this well-deserved achievement.

See below the activity plan for next year, please note that we already made a few adjustments; added a Swimming Merit Badge Class in January and shifted the Biking Trip a week so that we could add a Shakedown Ride!

• April 25^th -27^th Primitive Camping and Fishing (Linden VA and Lake Thompson)
• Saturday May 3^rd – Scuba Confined Water Swim (Minnie Howard Pool)
• May 10^th – Biking Trip Shakedown Ride (Alexandria VA)
• May 16^th -18^th – Camping Trip and Biking Trip (Leesburg/TBD)
• June 6^th-8^th – Camping Trip – Scuba Open Water Course (Lake Phoenix, VA)
• July 6^th -12^th – Summer Camp – Camp Marriott at the Goshen Scout Reservation.
