Goshen in Motion – July!

Eagle Project – Message from Alexander Reisig:
Hi guys!
We are ready for the “last mile delivery” of the collected essential clothing items to The McKenna Center.
I am looking for some Scout and parent volunteers to help with this part of the project on Friday, July 2 beginning at 7:30 am. Here is a link to the Sign Up Genius:

They have requested that we arrive by 9 am to bring the items into the center (they serve breakfast and lunch to the homeless, so we need to get in and out quickly between these meal services.)
The items are organized into about 30 large storage bins that need to be inventoried for a final time (count each of the items), loaded into parent volunteer cars and then transported to the McKenna Center (19 I St NW, Washington, DC 20001) and then carried across the campus and put into the Clothing Closet for immediate distribution to the community.
As you know, we are working to comply with the changing COVID-19 restrictions so please bring a mask for when we get to campus. I’ll have some extra in case you forget yours.

Meeting Place: Alexander’s House
We will then drive to The McKenna Center 19 I St NW, Washington, DC 20001. It is a little tricky to access the garage, so we may just caravan so we can all end up at the right place. We can park in the garage, then have to carry the bins across the campus to the McKenna Center.
