OUTDOOR MEETING AT First Baptist Church
I am sorry for the confusion (we are still trying to figure this out); however, I was reminded that we don’t have access to the Del Ray United Methodist Church on the Third Monday of the Month. Therefore, the meeting will return to the outdoor amphitheater at First Baptist Church.
We will also delay the PLC one week so that we can meet in person (and in the light) next week.
CAMPOREE
The camporee was a lot of fun this weekend and we had a little bit of everything with respect to weather. It was warm on Friday with perfect sleeping weather. Saturday morning/mid-day was glorious, sunny, dry, and generally a great day for scout skills and the program. The afternoon was gusty, then raining and then cold into the evening. Thankfully the only thing we did not have was frost/snow!
A big thank you to the older scouts who volunteered at stations, our SPL Will Jahns who fearlessly lead the troop through the Klondike derby and special thanks to Mr. Jahns and Mr. Mulvaney who organized the entire thing for us.
We hosted 8 Webelos (from different packs) including our old friends at Pack 135 who ate dinner with us. While this was certainly not the biggest Camporee I have seen, there were quite a few troops and packs in attendance, and it gave me hope that we are starting to return to normal. Thanks to Mr. Jahns, we had a great batch of Chili to warm our bellies and to entice the Webelos to join our troop when they cross over!

Since we will be back at First Baptist, this is the perfect time to return any Troop gear. Please make sure it is all dry and clean before you return it!
