Troop 131,
I hope you are well and enjoyed the weekend! I have not heard anything, but I hope some of you were able to volunteer for Zachary Kennys Eagle project this weekend!
I was at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Conference for most of this past week and I am just beginning to catch up. So, if I am a little tired at the meeting tomorrow, please forgive me!
TROOP MEETING
We will have a Troop meeting at 7:30PM this Monday at Immanuel Church on the Hill!
We only have two meetings before summer camp so this meeting will focus on camp prep and advancement! I believe your leadership team will be telling you all about the importance of Olmstead Pride!
The 10 essentials are very important, and your new SPL has asked all of you to bring your FIRST AID KITS to the meeting!
We will also hold Board of Reviews tomorrow and I believe we have a few candidates working on their next rank!
The Schedule calls for a PLC this week, however, we will skip it this month!
NEW SCOUT PATROL (Tasmanian Devils)
Last week the new scouts voted to call themselves the Tasmanian Devils! Congratulations and we are working on getting patrol patches for you all.
At the meeting, please let me know if you need a T-131 Patch or T-131 T-shirt!
ELECTIONS- EPIC
The elections last Monday were successful, if not a bit unprecedented! For the first time EVER (even with 30 scouts in attendance) we had a tie on the first ballot for SPL! I asked Mr. Kelly, who has been with the troop for a very long time, and he could not recall a time where we had a similar situation. As a result, we needed a second ballot and by a very slim margin were able to break the tie. It was a close vote; however, I am pleased to announce Tadhg Devlin (who after several years as ASPL) was elected by the troop as our next SPL!
See below the results of the election and the appointed leadership positions. There are few we need to (verify) and a few people hold multiple positions, so if you missed the meeting last week or want a leadership position, then please talk to your SPL and we will spread the responsibilities.

It is hard to believe but we are just three weeks aways from Goshen! Just a reminder, be sure to get all your forms complete, especially the Heath forms (A, B and C). Note that form C requires the signature of a healthcare professional.
