Thank you to all who participated and helped for the Court of Honor last Monday and a special thank you to Mrs. Devlin and Mrs. Farmer who made it happen!
Just a reminder, we will NOT have a troop meeting this Monday in observance of Labor Day. However, please use the time to sign up for the fall activities…
Especially the next camping trip at Rock Enon. We are fortunate and very lucky, you have the mountain all to yourselves and be able to do a TON of climbing. Even if you are going on the Climboree, this is a great chance either to get experience if you don’t have any or knock the rust off … if it has been a little while since you have been in a harness. See link below!
A big congratulation to Nathan Wells, who successfully completed his Eagle Board Review Thursday night. Please be sure to congratulate him when you see him next. We also have four scouts at various stages for their Eagle Projects … so there will be more to come!
ISAAC WORKMAN- EAGLE COURT OF HONOR
See invitation below from Mrs. Workman for Isaac Workman’s Eagle Court of Honor. Eagle is a tremendous achievement, and I hope you all will consider going and celebrating this with Isaac and his family!
The Eagle Court of Honor will be held at Immanuel Church on the Hill on Saturday September 7th at 4:00 PM. Please click on the link and RSVP.
We’ve created a signup genius for Isaac’s Eagle Court of Honor.

CAR WASH,
We are going to do our annual car-wash again this year, scheduled for Saturday September 21st. In the morning. Mr. Mills will reprise his role (3rd year in a row) as our Car Wash organizer. Our troop cooking gear (the aluminum) is a little long-in-the-tooth, so if we do well with our fundraising then we can buy new pots and pans for the patrol bins!

ADULT VOLUNTEERS
We cannot do this without you! We need 2-3 volunteers to help with:
- Wreath sales (our annual fundraiser)
MERIT BADGE COUNSELORS
Like rank advancements, the summer is a great time to work on Merit Badges. All you need is the desire, a blue card (from me or one of the other Assistant Scoutmasters and to talk to you counselor)
Mrs. Farmer, the Advancement Chair, has created a google document, see link below, that contains a list of all the merit badges and the current list of troop counselors. Eagle Required are highlighted.
PARENTS: We are blessed to have so many adults with a wide diversity of skill sets, occupations and hobbies. If you would like to be a counselor (or expand the ones you already have) then please reach out to Kathryn Farmer.
For eagle required, we are bit light on:
- Emergency Preparation
- Environmental Science
Please don’t hesitate to sign up for merit badges where there are others, it is better if the scouts have choices on who they can work with!
