We are going to try for an in-person meeting Monday night starting at 7:30 PM. Right now, there is a high chance of rain in the evening, but we will play it by ear and see how it shakes out with respect to weather tomorrow afternoon. If it looks bad, then we will cancel, so please check your email before you head to the meeting.
Assuming we can have the meeting tomorrow, then we will have Board of Reviews. If we are rained out, then the Board of Reviews will shift to next week. It looks like we have four candidates up for rank advancement!
Canoe Trip 2.0
The canoe trip was a great success, notwithstanding the freight train at 6:00 AM or music from the adjacent campsite! For the most part the group avoided significant rain and successfully navigated the 8-mile canoe trip without incident!
Thank you, Mr. Mulvaney or organizing, this was a great way to close out the summer activities.

Please come prepared to talk about the activities you would like to do in the coming year! If you have not already done so, please ask your patrol-mates for their opinions/suggestions.
To end the summer and start the fall off with a bang, we are planning on a Court of Honor/Family Picnic– more to come on this later, but please put mark your calendars, it should be fun!
Volunteer- Scouting for food
Scouting for Food will return this November. The council will provide post-It notes announcing the service project; units will distribute the Post-It notes in their assigned neighborhoods on or around Saturday, November 6. Bags will NOT be provided as in previous years. Units will pick up donations from their assigned neighborhoods on Saturday, Nov. 13.
Mr. Haymes has volunteered to help organize our involvement this year (as he has done in the past), however, he has asked for an adult volunteer to help with the effort and someone who might be able to spearhead it next year. If you would like to help, then please let either Kevin or I know.
Message from Patrick Hoover
“Hi! Thank you to all of the volunteers I had come for my Eagle Scout project and all of the people who donated money to my project! We were able to complete three tables and fix the others around where we meet for our outside troop meetings! Again, thanks for all of the help!
Thanks again!
Patrick Hoover”
Congratulations Patrick and I am glad it went well!
