Troop 131,
I hope everyone is well, enjoying school and ready for an exciting fall season of Scouts! We have a great series of outdoor activities coming this fall starting; with the Climboree!
TROOP MEETING
We will have an in-person Troop meeting Monday at 7:30PM at Immanuel Church on the Hill. Note, we are back to regular hours, and you are expected to wear your scarf!
The meeting will focus on Climboree preparation, including knots, meal planning and checking out camping gear.
For meals and looking at who is coming, I would like the patrols to organize themselves into two (slightly larger) groups:
1. Minute Men and Radioactive scorpion (6 scouts)
2. Moose, Nylon and Snapping Turtles (8 scouts)
UNIFORM INSPECTION
I must admit, the state of our uniforms lately has been a bit of sorry affair. To aid in that and remind everyone that our uniforms matter and a Scout is Clean; please come on Monday in your full Class A uniform (sash is NOT required) and be prepared for a formal uniform inspection. Ms. Devlin and Mr. Wells will conduct the inspection and grade each of you. There will be a special prize for the scout(s) with the highest score.
For your reference and use, I attached to this email the official BSA Inspection Sheet and the BSA Guide to Insignia.
VISION STATEMENT
As part of the training that Mr. Roger ran a few weeks ago we were asked to prepare a Vision Statement for the troop. I attached it to this email and feel that it is a good refection of who we historically are as a troop and our aspirations. I encourage you all to review it and provide comment.
SHED PAINTING
For those that did not see the Facebook post, last weekend, Mr. Jahn, Mr. Jackson, and Scout Miles Jackson painted our shed to match the existing church shed. The painting looks great, the shed has been clean out and reorganized and now I can say (formally) that our move to Immanuel Church on the Hill is complete!

Blue Cards! Did you know that your Scoutmaster can email you a blue card? Just send me Mr. Ramirez an email (scoutmaster@t131.org)! Note that the SCOUT must request the blue card, not the parent!
