Hope everyone is well and surviving the heat!
TROOP MEETING
We will have an in-person Troop meeting at 7:30PM at Immanuel Church on the Hill this Monday.
There are quite a few Merit Badges that we have yet to award from summer camp, so please come and collect your hard-earned awards!
All the scouts who were in the Bowman Brigade at camp earned their Totin-Chip, we will award this at the meeting as well.
We will have patrol time and work to complete the Patrol Flags that we started last week. Weather permitting, we will light a campfire and retire American Flags. We have quite a few in the shed and we should retire them with the dignity they deserve.
For those in the Bowman Brigade that did not make the last few meetings, please BRING YOUR BOOK! The older scouts will review what you learned and sign off on any requirements you completed! We want to make sure we get all our advancements recorded.
Speaking of advancement, the summer is a great time to work on Merit Badges and I have a stack of blank blue cards that I am itching to sign! Hint, hint! With school out …. There is no excuse!
COLONIAL DISTRICT FLIGHT SCHOOL
See note and link below from Ms. Haymes. The Colonial District is hosting a “flight school” on August 19th with a focus on the Aviation and Space Flight Merit Badges. As a Sci-Fi nerd, I appreciate the reference to BattleStar Galactica and the “Vipers”!
Special fun District merit badge day coming up in August at Gunston Hall covering the Aviation and Space Exploration merit badges.

Wear your full Class A Uniform! Bring your Book, Bring a headlamp! Leave your phone in your pocket! and have a good time!
Blue Cards! Did you know that your Scoutmaster can email you a blue card? Just send me, Mr. Ramirez, an email (scoutmaster@t131.org)! Note that the SCOUT must request the blue card, not the parent!
