Troop 131,
I hope you are well and are staying cool during the heatwave!
The Scouts going to Goshen left this morning and as far as I know, all successfully arrived and without incident. I hope they all have a good time, learn lots of new things and come back with a ton of new merit badges! I look forward to hearing the stories from the week.
I want to extend a big thank you to Mrs. Lacayo for organizing the troop effort this year! I know how much work it is to keep the troop organized. I also want to extend an equally big thank you to Mr. Irwin, Mr. Grocki, Mr. Gross and Mr. Teixeira-Moffat for going down with the scouts to Goshen and camping with them this week!
NO TROOP MEETING
Therefore, and with the troop away at Goshen this week, there is NO troop meeting on Monday!
Summer meetings will resume on July 1st.
However, I am around all week, so if you need a blue card, scoutmaster conference, or for me to sign something, just email me (and copy your parents/guardians) and we can schedule a time to meet up.
NYLT
I want to congratulate Luke Irwin, who spent last week (yes, in the heat) at Camp Snyder in the National Youth Leadership Training Course (NYLT). I only spoke with him briefly, but it appears that this was a great experience, and I would encourage all of you to consider going to it. FYI: You must be 13 years of age and at least a First Class Scout to attend.
Luke is at Goshen this week with the troop, but if you see him, be sure to ask him about the experience and certainly congratulate him!
