Scoutmaster-Update

I hope everyone is surviving the cold weekend!

TROOP MEETING:

We will have an in-person Troop meeting at 7:30PM at Immanuel Church on the Hill this Monday.

Just a reminder, I am out of town this week and will miss both the Scout Sunday and Monday’s meeting, however, the other ASM’s will be present to help.

Your SPL and ASP’s have organized the next two meetings in support of the upcoming winter camping trip.  They will have a three part rotation in which they will discuss how to pack for winter camping, safety and winter cooking.

They are asking that all scouts going on the camping trip and below the rank of first class, please bring their pack on February 13th for review.  Winter camping is no joke, and we want to make sure that all of you are properly prepared for the weather and have the proper gear.

As always please bring your book, there are opportunities to demonstrate knowledge and have one of the older scouts sign off on these skills.

JACK SNOWDEN EAGLE PROJECT:

Due to the cold weather, Jack postponed his eagle project from this weekend to February 25th.  If you could not make it previously, please consider helping on the 25th!

Installation Day (Open to all Scouts)

SCOUT SUNDAY:

A Scout is Reverent!  See message below from Mr. Jahns! Scout Sunday is tomorrow morning!

Scouts and families,

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for Scout Sunday on Sunday, February 5th.

We will attend the 10:30 service at Immanuel Chapel

(Note, this is NOT the building where we meet weekly. This is across the street on the Seminary grounds. – 3737 Seminary Rd)

All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

We are also in need of some more scout volunteers to help during the service.

If you can help, please let Mr. Jahns know.

Thank you to David, Luke & Tige who have already volunteered!

Let’s remember the 12th point of the Scout Law!

Thanks!

Mr. Jahns
