This is our semi-annual meeting dedicated to learning about troop processes and plans; you can ask questions, get answers, make suggestions, and find where you can support. All are welcome!
Volunteer Needs
We are looking for some adult volunteers in these areas:
- Scoutmaster – We are looking for someone who might be interested in this role to shadow Mark for a gradual transition into being Scoutmaster, especially some of our parents who are former scouts.
- Membership Coordinator – A great role for those who still have connections back to our local Alexandria Cub Scout packs, especially if you’re only able to help for an hour or so a month.
- Webmaster – Keeping our external presence felt for new/transferring/visiting scouts and those learning about Troop 131
- Deputy Outdoor Chair – shadow role for tag teaming the planning of each month’s camping/hiking/adventure
- Deputy Advancement – shadow role for learning the ropes of BSA advancement
- Deputy Treasurer – shadow role backing up an important job coordinating short-term transactions and long-term financial planning
If you’re a parent who doesn’t have time for weekend camping, please consider helping with one of these positions, we’re happy to discuss.
