I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the fine fall weather.
NO TROOP MEETING
There is no troop meeting tomorrow and in observance of the Federal Holiday.
CAMPOREE & GEAR
For those that are going on the camporee, please make sure you coordinate with your patrol mates for cooking. The adults are covering dinner Saturday night; however, the other meals are your responsibility.
I will be at the SHED tomorrow (Monday) at 7:30 for anyone who needs gear. If you need something and plan to stop by, please shoot me an email so that I know you are coming.
Last chance to sign up for the camporee! This is a good opportunity to meet scouts from other troops and this is a critical time for recruiting! We will have Webelos from Pack 135 joining us for dinner.
The theme of the camporee is Skilled Trades, I attached the flyer and info packet to this email and for your reference. One thing that the organizers ask for is a 4×8 banner. In theory we should have done this prior to the camping trip, however, it looks like we will be making ours on the fly and Friday night! We will bring the materials; however, I need all you scouts to bring their energy and creativity.
Camporees are not like our normal backpacking trips and our site will be inspected. See sheet 11 in the packet and please review. A few things to point out:
- Campsite boundaries should be clearly marked.
- Patrol tents should be grouped together and organized
- Safety equipment is displayed
- Duty roster posted
- Cooking areas clean and neat
It is 14-16 October at the American Legion Youth Camp in Cheltenham, MD.
SIGN UP:

It is $25 per person, Scout or Adult.
SERVICE HOURS- PUMPKIN PATCH
Just a reminder, there is another opportunity for Service hours at the pumpkin patch on the 15th! If you are not going on the Camporee, then please consider volunteering.
EMERGENCY PREPARATION
A big thank you to Ms. Pamela Larson for putting together the Emergency Prep Session last week. It was a lot of fun, and we certainly learned a thing or two!
