Troop 131’s Goshen 2022 Registration Form is now available online! I strongly urge you register your Scouts at your earliest convenience. We’re trying a new format this year to make the process easy to use, informative, and helpful. If you have any problems with the form or have suggestions that would improve the experience, please feel free to contact me at summercamp@t131.org.

Payments covering costs are made separately to the Troop. The registration form does have payment information offering several options, including Zelle (the fastest and most direct method already included as part of many banking apps). There’s also Square (using a credit card), PayPal, checks, and cash options, as well as Scout funds.

I’d also like to invite parents to the Scout meeting on February 28, where we’ll have a breakout session for parents to learn more about Goshen, hear from older Scouts about their experiences, and ask questions. I’ll be there to help register Scouts (if needed). The Treasurer and Advancement Chair will also be available to take payments and offer advice on merit badge selections, respectively. We’ll have a second session on March 7 (same night as the Court of Honor) for those who can’t make the first session.

Important Dates:
Feb 28: Parents meeting on Goshen
Mar 7: Parents meeting on Goshen
Mar 31: Merit badge sign ups open – certain activities can fill up fast! Scouts having registered with their merit badge selections and paid in full can be signed up for merit badges
Apr 15: Last day for Goshen’s Early Bird discount prices

I look forward to seeing both old and new Scouts enjoy this summer’s Goshen experience. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns regarding Goshen 2022.

Respectfully,

Daren Devlin

Dates: Our troop is scheduled will be in Camp Olmstead at the Goshen Scout Reservation from June 26 – July 2, 2022.
Costs: There is an Early Bird discount for early registration, which saves $30 per Scout and $40 per adult. If you register by April 15, it’s $420 per youth and $225 per adult. You’ll also be eligible for the new Goshen hat!
After April 15, the cost is $450 per youth and $265 per adult (and no hat, sadly).
IMPORTANT: WE CAN’T REGISTER SCOUTS FOR ANY MERIT BADGES UNTIL THEY’RE PAID IN FULL.
Schedule & Merit Badges: You can take a look at the schedule to start choosing which merit badges/activities the Scouts are interested in. After they’ve paid their fees, we will do our best to get them registered as soon as possible. Some activities are very popular and fill up fast (especially Shooting Sports), so have some back ups in mind.
Older Scouts will use the Olmstead Program Schedule (https://www.gotogoshen.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/2022-Olmsted-Program-Schedule.pdf). Scouts can pick merit badges for the time slots indicated.
New Scouts will use the Trailshead B Schedule (https://www.gotogoshen.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/2022-Olmsted-Trailshead-Schedule.pdf). The Trailshead program also has rank advancement sessions built into the schedule, so they’ll only pick three merit badges.
I’ll send out more information later, and I’ll have an information/Q&A session for the parents at an upcoming Scout meeting soon. In the meantime, you can reach out to me with any questions or concerns at summercamp@t131.org,
